If we are honest with ourselves then we already know that there are things in our lives that we have done which are wrong; the Bible calls these wrong things sin. The Bible also tells us that everyone has sinned and therefore needs salvation (saving from the consequence of sin). Surely there is not a righteous man on earth, who does good and doesn't sin. for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; Sin separates us from God and leads to eternal death: For the wages of sin is death, 12 I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. God doesn't want us to perish and has therefore provided the means of salvation for us: 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; everyone has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. God's salvation comes to us as a gift in the person of Yeshua the Messiah: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Messiah Yeshua our Lord. "...There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Yeshua said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me..." Yeshua lived a sinless life and was put to death by crucifixion; His blood was spilled for the sins of all. He was buried and three days later God raised Him from the dead so that all who believe in Him may have eternal life. 14 Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Yeshua, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession. 18 knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. To receive God's salvation we must first acknowledge that we are sinners and repent (turn from everything that we know to be wrong), asking God to forgive us our sins by the shed blood of Yeshua; then asking Yeshua to be our Lord and Savior, giving Him our lives to do with as He desires. If this is what you truly want then say this prayer. |
