16 When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick;
Mt. 8:16
17 The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written,
18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
Because he anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release to the captives,
Recovering of sight to the blind,
To deliver those who are crushed,
19 And to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
20 He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 He began to tell them, "Today, this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."
Lk. 4:17-21
11 Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over, and could in no way lift herself up.
12 When Yeshua saw her, he called her, and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your infirmity."
13 He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight, and glorified God.
14 The ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Yeshua had healed on the Sabbath, answered to the multitude, "There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!"
15 Therefore the Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and lead him away to water?
16 "Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, to have been freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?"
Lk. 13:11-16
